So, here is a random sampling of some random photos I've begun taking of all things randomly Chinese. Enjoy...
Park sign with a hilarious translation. In case you can't read it, it says, "No foot on me. I am green life."
The soy sauce... AISLE. There is an entire, dedicated aisle, you guys. But no Sriracha?
Touch screens in the taxis with ads and shows and everything. Nuts.
The iconic Pearl Tower, a part of the skyline here like the Space Needle is in Seattle. Oh, except this is more than twice as tall...
Thru the window at a restaurant that I (sadly) did not get a chance to go into... this time.
Amongst the old alleyways in the French Foreign Concession neighborhood in historic Shanghai. Very cool place, looking forward to going back for more.
In Fuxing Park, the rose garden that took my breath away. I'm so excited to be living here and plan on going back for a picnic with Reese soon!
I loved this little old lady. She was just sitting on the step, clapping her hands together. Not in applause, but I think to improve the circulation. She could be 70 or 100. Can you imagine what she has seen in her life?
Bikes are lined up like everywhere, all over our neighborhood, and on every street you see. And, there's STILL crazy car traffic all the time!
Just some nice Chinese men hanging out on the street corner, selling bootleg DVD's, playing board games to shoot the breeze.
On one of the pedestrian walkways in downtown. This one is a circular walk underneath (no joke!) 5 layers of overpasses... above the walkers is more traffic than you can imagine. But it's neat below and there is a sculpture garden too.
